The history of the Pier 14 Group is one characterized by entrepreneurial spirit. At the beginning of the 1990s, owners Jana and Gert Griehl started out by opening two small stores in Ahlbeck and Heringsdorf that sold toys and office supplies, lottery and magazines. Today, the Pier 14 group of companies comprises a total of 16 stores and four restaurants along the Baltic coast.
Last year, a modern store concept has been created on the seaside resort of Ahlbeck, which is skillfully integrated into the historical context of the spa architecture. The makers especially put emphasis on new technologies that contribute to their customer journey. Pier 14 shows how digitalization can be integrated into the point of sale with real added value for customers with the coffee bar that is equipped with a multimedia back panel, which rounds off the presentation of international designer collections, high-quality accessories and exclusive lifestyle products.

- Number of stores: 16

A feel-good atmosphere is already created in the entrance area, as the herringbone parquet flooring in the ladies’ and men’s areas, warm, purist wall tones, golden mirrors, Gluckigluck jugs and the interior makes visitors want to move straight in. A real highlight is the photo point, where one can sit in a swing with the unforgettable beach view behind, while another notable aspect is the large counter, which combines Pier 14’s concept idea, where shopping and indulgence needs come together. It is a great place to stop for a coffee or a sparkling drink.
In the spacious changing rooms with comfortable armchairs, customers can browse through the brand’s product range to their heart’s content, while others can find a cozy spot to sit down and simply relax.
The store features international designer collections for men and women as well as high-quality accessories, beauty and lifestyle products. Among others, the store carries the brands: Hugo Boss, Juvia, Hey Marly, Seidenfelt, PNTS, Miss Goodlife, Goldgarn, Les Deux, Dstrezzed, Hoka, Milestone, Billy Belt, The North Face, and Patagonia.
The brand is also thinking already one step ahead and offers customers fashion care products in store so that they can enjoy their new clothes for a long time to come: among others, they offer beautifully designed products from Steamery, which can iron the laundry on the go or fluff wool items, as well as detergents from kaëll, whose special products for silk or cashmere are in stock at the store.
