Primark opens at Forum Rotterdam developed by Multi

Primark’s new flagship store in Forum Rotterdam, developed and managed by Multi Corporation, has opened its doors. The store, which has created more than 300 new jobs, is Primark’s 21st store in the Netherlands and 392nd globally.

The Primark store is at the heart of Forum Rotterdam, located between Rotterdam’s most important shopping streets, Coolsingel, Binnenwegplein, Lijnbaan and the ‘Koopgoot.’ (Also originally developed by Multi). It is in the former Jungerhans building and Primark’s retail trading space spans over 7,400 sqm.

Forum Rotterdam comprises of 64,000 sqm of shops, food and beverage outlets, offices and 103 apartments. Investors in this multi-functional city centre project include Deka Immobilien GmbH, Primark Netherlands B.V., Syntrus Achmea Real Estate & Finance and a.s.r. real estate.

Patrick van Dooyeweert, Multi Corporation Board Member said: “Primark’s new flagship store is a jewel in the crown of Forum Rotterdam and we wish them every success. This is an excellent example of an innovative redevelopment project, in which the use of space in an inner city is transformed and enhanced. Multi is proud of Forum Rotterdam, a new iconic place in the center of the city, where people can enjoy shopping, working, living and staying. Strict health and safety measures according to government guidance are in place and we look forward to welcoming our visitors.”

Kevin Tulip, Director of Sales for Primark Benelux said: “We have a special connection to Rotterdam, having opened our very first Dutch store here over a decade ago. We’re excited to give the city its own flagship Primark store here at Forum Rotterdam and we look forward to welcoming customers through our doors.”
