Realm banks on F&B occupier growth with key appointment

Realm has grown its leasing team with the appointment of Caroline Helyer as leasing manager. Caroline will be working across several of Realm’s schemes – including Dalton Park, Milsom Place and Bedford Riverside – where she will be leading initiatives to secure new retail lettings and lease renewals, as well as enhance the customer shopping experience and F&B offering across the portfolio.

With over 20 years’ experience working in retail and leisure leasing Caroline has previously held positions at Intu Properties as a leasing manager and Colliers International, where she acted for retailers on expansion programmes and shopping centre leasing initiatives for landlords.

Commenting on appointment, Director of Leasing Christine Grace, said: “Outlet customers are increasingly visiting the centres for the leisure on offer as much as the retail, and it follows that a more dynamic array of dining options is important to their appeal. Caroline is an accomplished leasing professional with a specialism in F&B and we are thrilled to welcome her to the team, where she will lead on exciting initiatives across the portfolio to attract new start-ups, pop-ups and permanent partners to our portfolio.

“Whether stopping for a bite to eat or rounding off a trip to an outlet centre, the F&B space provides a key opportunity for our sector to leverage the more flexible options that our leases and turnover driven deals present to new occupiers. We will be embracing new emerging independent operators in addition to talking to expanding chains, keen to develop their own businesses on our equitable and supportive terms.”
