Redos buys Globus supermarket in western Germany

The redos group, an investor, asset and fund manager specializing in large-scale retail properties, has bought a GLOBUS store in Wesel in western Germany. The property was acquired from Union Investment as part of an asset deal for the special AIF “Redos Retail Germany III”.

The retail property has a total rental area of around 12,000 sq m. The property, which is around 30,000 sq m in size, includes around 420 parking spaces. It was agreed not to disclose the purchase price. After the former tenant, real,-, moved out, a new lease was concluded with GLOBUS for a fixed term of 20 years. GLOBUS is investing a double-digit million amount in the core renovation of the building.

“The combination of all property and location factors gives us a high level of planning security and makes this investment very promising in the long term,” says Frank Eckervogt, Managing Director | Transactions at redos.
