The closure will also leave around 290 people without a job, reports the German Press Agency. The US-based owner of the rights to the trademark and goods had no interest in transferring both to a new investor or agreeing on a corresponding license.
However, according to the press agency, talks are underway with a fashion chain store in hopes of securing a new investor, which involves a possible takeover of locations and staff. The investor would then have to reach an agreement with the landlords of the properties.
