At the beginning of October, Union Investment and ACROSS invited leading industry experts to Hamburg to discuss the present as well as the future of retail parks. The following is a brief review.

Commerz Real has sold the retail shopping center Montijo Retail Park near the Portuguese capital Lisbon to CA Património Crescente, an open-ended real estate fund managed by the Portuguese Square asset management.

Real estate investors both in and out of Germany rely on specialist retailers and specialist retail parks: They offer constant pulling power, stable revenues, and solid customer footfall – all of which require clearly positioned product and sector concepts, which signal to investors that their investment is both solid and sustainable.
