SES Commissioned With The Center Management Of Hungarian KORZÓ For Another Five Years

The owner of the KORZÓ shopping center in Nyíregyháza, Hungary, a pan-European banking group, has commissioned SES Spar European Shopping Centers to manage the center for a further five years.

From January 1, 2025, SES Hungary will thus continue the successful partnership that has existed since 2009 as operator, thereby securing its position in the dynamic Hungarian market. The banking group emphasizes the strong partnership and the continued trust in SES as the operator of Eastern Hungary’s leading shopping center.

KORZÓ, the largest shopping center in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County, has been benefiting from SES’s comprehensive management expertise since 2009. At that time, the shopping center developer and operator took over the center management of KORZÓ. SES currently manages 31 shopping destinations in Austria, Slovenia, Italy, Hungary, Croatia and the Czech Republic.

With several million visitors a year, KORZÓ maintains its role as a central shopping and leisure destination. The location is home to well-known anchor tenants such as SPAR, Hervis, Sinsay, Mohito, Cropp, Libri, New Yorker and KFC. Despite the very challenging economic development in Hungary in recent years, SES was recently able to open several large stores in KORZÓ. The underground car park with 640 parking spaces offers the largest and most convenient parking space in the city center of Nyíregyháza. The shopping destination is also an attractive workplace for almost 600 employees.

“At all of our locations, we always strive to create vibrant living spaces with maximum customer relevance,” says Christoph Andexlinger, CEO of SES European Shopping Centers. “At KORZÓ, we achieve this with an attractive mix of shopping, family and cultural activities as well as successful cooperation with local organizations. This makes the shopping center unique in the region.”

“We are proud that KORZÓ is not only a shopping destination thanks to its central location and excellent facilities, but also an attractive location for office tenants: a panoramic call center office has been located on the top floor of KORZÓ since 2017, and a high-quality, well-designed customer service office moved in in 2020,” adds Andrea Schönhauer, Managing Director of SES Magyarország Kft.
