SES strengthens the area of sustainability and creates a new position for Corporate Sustainability

The topic of ESG affects all divisions of SES Spar European Shopping Centers. Austria’s market-leading operator of shopping malls is therefore becoming even more involved in this area as of January 1, 2024 and is establishing the Corporate Sustainability department for this purpose.

This position will be filled by Andreas Mittendorfer, who will report directly to CEO Christoph Andexlinger. Mittendorfer will be succeeded in his previous role as Head of Facility Management by Tobias Reiter, who has been part of the FM team at SES since 2007.

Andreas Mittendorfer – Head of Corporate Sustainability

Born in Upper Austria, he studied Facility Management at the Vienna University of Technology and has been at home in the real estate sector for 20 years: after working for a non-profit housing developer for several years, he joined SES in 2011, where he held the position of Head of Facility Management for 10 years. In this role, Andreas Mittendorfer had already been working intensively on the topic of ESG for several years. In his new role as Head of Corporate Sustainability, he will be responsible for strategically driving forward all topics that are relevant to the company’s successful alignment with the EU’s ESG and taxonomy criteria.

Tobias Reiter – Head of Facility Management

After studying Facility Management at the University of Applied Sciences in Kufstein, Tobias Reiter joined INTERSPAR in 2006 as a technical employee in property management. In 2007, he joined SES in Facility Management within the SPAR Group, where he initially worked in the technical area and later in FM project management. In 2022, he took over as Head of Shopping Center Facility Management and was also responsible for organizational and infrastructural facility management. By taking over the overall management of the department, Tobias Reiter is now responsible as Head of Facility Management at SES with his team of experts for sustainably managing the technical, infrastructural and organizational FM area, with a strong focus on ensuring operational safety and optimizing management costs.
