Skims opens first retail space in Berlin’s KaDeWe department store

“I am delighted to be working with KaDeWe and bringing Skims to Germany for the first time,” said Skims CEO Jens Grede.

The launch at KaDeWe in Berlin amounts to a retail space of around 97 sq m, with first own stores in London, Paris, Milan to follow in the next 18 months.
Germany is the fastest growing market in the EU, so the company wanted to offer customers a physical shopping experience. With the help of further locations, they want to increase growth within the EU. Partnerships with luxury retailers have already been tried and tested: in the summer, Skims presented its latest Swim line at the luxury department store Selfridges in London. Parts of the collection are also stocked at multi-brand retailers Harrods and Galeries Lafayette.
The company said its goal for expansion in the coming years is to set up its own stores wherever Apple and Nike are already located. Skims expects net sales of US$750 million in 2024, an increase of 250 million from the previous year.

Skims was co-founded by Reality-TV-Star Kim Kardashian.
