The final phase of the Austrian yip.at Business Promotion Award 2024 is underway: from the surfboard manufacturer from Salzburg to a second-hand store in Linz and “Sauerteigland” in Schwaz in Tyrol, the ten best concepts submitted from six federal states have made it to the final.

On April 23rd, the German Trade Association presented the Stores of the Year 2024 awards at the Retail Real Estate Congress in Berlin. umdasch’s two projects – BETTENRID in Munich’s Theatinerstraße and the Musikhaus Thomann in Burgebrach-Treppendorf – were named “Store of the Year”.

At the 14th PRCH Retail Awards, the jury members awarded a total of 36 awards. This included eight gold statuettes and 27 silver statuettes, in 20 business, strategy and marketing categories. In addition, the strategic jury awarded a special prize for a project that stands out thanks to its innovative approach, setting trends in the industry.

Sonae Sierra received two awards and one commendation with: NorteShopping’s expansion – with Galleria and The CookBook -, Plaza Mayor’s transformation project, and the QUARREE Wandsbek refurbishment being the winners of the most prestigious European awards for Shopping Places.

Kaufland has received the Speciality Retailer of the Year award at the 15th CEE Retail Awards for its successful work and strong European expansion.

Congratulations to all MAPIC Awards winners, who were honoured for their excellence, innovation, and creativity in the retail real estate sector.

The Inegol Shopping Mall, an investment of Fiba Commercial Properties (Fiba CP), took home the European Property Awards grand prize in the categories of “Retail Development” and “Retail Architecture” within the scope of its renovation projects while its Transformation Story Project carried out during this period was awarded the gold medal by the Association of Marketing Communications Professionals in the category of “Corporate Social Responsibility”.

Despite tough competition in this year’s NCSC Nordic Awards Finale, the winners have now been selected and the candidate taking home the prize for “Best Shopping Center 2022” is Mall of Tripla in Finland. The winners were announced yesterday, October 27th at Sergel Hub in Stockholm.

Around 30 years ago, a trendsetting Kaufland store opened in Erfurt-Herrenberg (Erfurt, Germany). Now it has been honored by the “Stadtimpulse” initiative as Best Practice 2022 in three categories: Innovation in Retail, Urban Design and Real Estate, and Experience and Living Space.

During the Kern Annual Congress in the Q-Factory in Amsterdam, the ‘Groningen Grote Markt Oostzijde’ project, submitted by the Municipality of Groningen, VolkerWessels Vastgoed, and MWPO, was declared the winner of the Kern Award 2022 by jury chairman René Vierkant.
