TAKING CENTER STAGE: SHAFTESBURY ANNOUNCES THE LAUNCH OF THE THEATRE CAFE DINER IN SEVEN DIALS

Shaftesbury has today announced the opening of a musical theater-inspired dining concept, The Theatre Cafe Diner, in their West End village, Seven Dials. Located at 154 Shaftesbury Avenue, the brand-new diner-themed restaurant spans 228 sq m over two floors.

This experiential dining experience is the first of its kind in London’s iconic Theatreland, providing unique table service from a professional singing waiting team, who perform the most popular musical theater numbers whilst serving customers. Across both floors, The Theatre Cafe Diner features a ‘Yellow Brick Road’ stage and multiple dedicated areas that are themed after popular West End productions, including Cats and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Visitors also have the option of booking one of the concept’s exclusive booths, custom-designed around hit productions Six and Heathers The Musical.

The new Seven Dials operator offers American-style diner food, each playfully named with a theater theme such as You Make Me Feel Like a Nacho-ral Woman, I’m Getting Calamari-ed in the Morning, and La Vegan Boheme! A supporting act to the food is the selection of hot and cold drinks, including Don’t Purple Rain on My Parade, Starlight Espresso Martini, and Long Island Iced Tea-nage Dream cocktails.

Julia Wilkinson, Restaurant Director at Shaftesbury, commented: “The Theatre Cafe Diner is a fun addition to the eclectic and vibrant collection of restaurants within Seven Dials and we are delighted to welcome it to our diverse community. This immersive concept complements the iconic theatrical roots of the West End and will be a great draw for our musical-loving visitors.”

Joe Davey, Managing Director and Founder of The Theatre Cafe, added: “The launch of our new Diner Cafe concept in Seven Dials is perfectly placed, being in the heart of the West End. It is an amazing opportunity for us to be expanding our offer and to work with Shaftesbury on this new dining experience. We are so pleased to have now opened our doors and to be welcoming visitors to our unique destination.”

The Theatre Cafe Diner’s opening follows a busy summer for Seven Dials, including the successful ‘Summer Sessions event’, and the celebration of Seven Dials Market’s three-year anniversary. The new diner also joins Seven Dials’ already extensive F&B offering, arriving alongside the recently opened Ole & Steen, The Patate, and boutique gelateria ANITA.
