The Center Extension Of Designer Outlet Gdańsk Is Underway

The project to extend Designer Outlet Gdańsk with more than 10 new stores and 7 new restaurants on an additional gross lettable area of 2,000 sq m starts and will be completed in the last quarter of 2024.

Designer Outlet Gdańsk is closer than ever to becoming the flagship outlet destination on Poland’s Baltic coast. The expansion project, designed by award-winning global architecture company Chapman Taylor, is officially underway with the start of construction.

With a center extension of 2,000 sq m gross lettable, Designer Outlet Gdańsk will have over 10 additional stores and a brand new designer food court, offering customers a new dimension of shopping experience and amenity. The leasing process for the retail part is already in progress and aims to bring together a brand mix that will meet customers’ expectations of high quality and well-recognized brands. The food court will accommodate up to 7 new national food concepts with a fresh and healthy food offer combined with well-known F&B brands. The welcoming atmosphere with a separate lounge area with soft sofas and wooden dining furniture will invite families and friends to meet, eat and relax. The setting will be surrounded by lush greenery and marine elements as typical in Designer Outlet Gdańsk. Likewise, the newly created shopping alley will follow the center’s unique architecture inspired by a traditional fishing village.

“Opened in 2005, Designer Outlet Gdańsk was one of the first outlet centers in Poland and has attracted a multitude of customers not only from the Tri-City region but also from neighboring provinces and international tourists. From the start, we have also enjoyed rental level of almost 100% and we continue to receive more and more interest from potential brand partners. That is why the center extension is so important, also to address the growing needs of our guests for new offers and a unique shopping experience”, says Dawid Rutkowski, Asset and Development Manager at ROS Retail Outlet Shopping.

The center extension is now in its second stage after the improvement of the entrance in 2021. The Nike store was also almost doubled in size, making it the brand’s largest outlet store in northern Poland.
