TK Maxx expands in ZAM Munich district center in 2024

Tk Maxx is expanding and will open its third store in Munich in 2024, in the multifunctional ZAM district center of the Rosa-Alscher Group in Munich-Freiham.

Due to its location, this center, which has a catchment area of approximately 610,000 people, as well as first-class location accessibility, has already been honored with the “Pre-Certified Good Mobility in Platinum – in the category Quartier 2023”. The 27,000 sq m commercial space, 18,500 sq m office space and 470 rental apartments are expected to be commissioned in the 2nd half of 2024. The cost of the project, designed by the office Störmer Murphy and Partner, was quoted at € 410,000,000.

Off-price retailer TK Maxx will offer branded products for the entire family at a discount of up to minus 60% off the recommended retail price in an area of around 2000 sq m. The assortment is composed of top brands, designer labels, fashion brands but also own productions at amazingly low prices. In contrast to retailers, who purchase on a seasonal basis, at TK Maxx the range is replenished several times a week, and subsequent deliveries are usually not possible. TK Maxx is as flexible with the zoning of its stores as it is with the merchandise. There are no partition walls at all, so that departments can be rearranged quickly depending on what is on offer. The existing furniture is designed purely for use, the focus in the store is purely on the merchandise.

TJX Europe is part of The TJX Companies, Inc. which claims to be the leading off-price retailer in nine countries on three continents with over 4600 stores and 320,000 employees worldwide.
TK Maxx opened its first store in the UK in 1994 and has been present in Germany since October 2007. Across Europe, the company has over 600 stores in Germany, the UK, Ireland, Poland, Austria and the Netherlands. TJX Europe operates the TK Maxx and Homesense retail brands in Europe.
