Überseequartier confronted with a new water damage but opening date remains

The Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier shopping center is once again struggling with water damage. According to the fashion news portal FashionUnited, a few weeks ago there was an “isolated technical problem” in a “small section of the construction site”, causing rainwater to penetrate into “a few rental spaces”.

According to a company spokesperson, the defect was quickly rectified. The company is in close contact with the affected tenants regarding the restoration of the space.

URW is sticking to the current opening date. “We are looking forward to welcoming the city of Hamburg and all visitors and are continuing to work towards our opening on October 17,” URW is quoted as saying.
