WESTFIELD CENTRO STRENGTHENS ITS FOOD & BEVERAGE PROFILE WITH BIGCHEFS

Another food & beverage offering has been added to the Westfield Centro promenade: the BigChefs restaurant brand opens its second branch in Germany and becomes one of the new flagships of the food & beverage brand mix at the location. With the new addition, Westfield Centro has achieved full occupancy for the promenade located directly at the center with around 15 dining concepts.

Levantine and Aegean dishes with a modern interpretation – this is what BigChefs represents since it was founded in Ankara in 2007. With this successful approach, the food & beverage brand now serves guests in 84 outlets worldwide, 76 of which are in Turkey. At Westfield Centro, BigChefs is now opening its second restaurant in Germany on an area of around 700 sq m, 400 sq m of which are indoors and 300 sq m in the terrace area.

A week ago, URW announced that BigChefs would also open a branch in Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier. The mixed-use district will open in the spring of 2024. Gamze Cizreli, founder of BigChefs, has said: “After opening our first German Big Chefs restaurant in Frankfurt in 2019 and having to take a break for the past two years due to the pandemic, we are delighted to continue our expansion course in Germany and Europe. Westfield Centro is an attractive location for us to reach our target group and also to introduce our concept to guests in Germany. They can look forward to a mix of Levantine and Aegean cuisine, as well as a wide variety of international food and beverages. Also at Westfield Centro, we will offer our guests a comfortable feel-good ambiance and spoil them with our hospitality.”

Katharina Zeiler, Deputy Director of Leasing Austria & Germany at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, has said: “With almost 50 food & beverage concepts, mostly distributed along the promenade as well as the food plaza ‘Coca-Cola Oase’, Westfield Centro offers a comprehensive range and is not only a retail and leisure destination but also a dining destination known beyond the region. We will further differentiate this already exceptional concept mix with BigChefs and thereby gain further attractiveness, especially in the area of dining and experience-oriented gastronomy.”
