Amal Del Monaco will join PATRIZIA from AXA IM Alts, a global leader in alternative investments with over EUR 157 billion of AUM, where she spent the last 24 years. Her most recent roles there included Global Head of Living (2020-21) and Head of Asset Management Sector Specialists (2018-2020).

Vapaavuori will join NREP to further strengthen the company’s urban development efforts. Jan Vapaavuori will join the company in a part-time role as Senior Advisor for Urban Development after his term as Mayor ends in August. He will work across all NREP’s geographies to facilitate new solutions to the most pressing urban challenges, including infrastructure challenges and climate crisis.

Jamie will join the board of U+I on 17 May 2021 as an Executive Director and assume the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on 19 June 2021 when Marcus Shepherd steps down from the board and his current position as Chief Financial and Operating Officer.
Jamie has over seventeen years’ experience in the real estate, private equity and financial services sectors, most recently as CFO of RCL Partners, a large family office with international investments across real estate and private equity. Prior to this, he was CFO at global real estate investment and asset management firm Round Hill Capital and has held senior positions at Coller Capital, CBRE Global Investors and DTZ Holdings plc after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG.

Eszter Salamon is full-stack finance and transactions professional with over 20 years of experience gained in recognized multinational companies. Prior to joining GTC, she held the position of Real Estate Management Director at OTP Real Estate Fund Management Zrt., one of the top three real estate fund management companies in Hungary. Within her position, Eszter was responsible for management of assets in the portfolio of the fund amounting to over EUR 1000 mln, as well as performing high-value transactions in the CEE region. As a committed team player, Eszter also led her department through COVID-19 crises, handling rental receivables and tenant requests to keep vacancy rates of OTP’s portfolio at bay.

The Urban Land Institute (ULI) has announced the appointment of Alberto Valls, managing partner of real estate at Deloitte Spain & EMEA, as chair of ULI Madrid. He succeeds Alfonso Benavides, senior advisor to JLL in Spain, secretary of the board of AEDAS Homes, S.A. and non-exec director at Auxadi Holdco, and officially began his voluntary two-year term on 1 May 2021.

Shopping center expert Jan Tanner becomes the new Head of Retail & Site Management Switzerland at real estate service provider Privera. He succeeds Cengizhan Ari, who is leaving the company.
Privera announced that Jan Tanner will take over as Head of Retail & Site Management on May 1 and will report to CEO Dieter Sommer in the future. The department’s responsibilities include supervising sites with retail, office and residential use, managing shopping centers, as well as marketing retail space and coordinating tenant associations.

Orchard Street Investment Management (‘Orchard Street’), the specialist commercial property investment manager, has strengthened its retail team with the appointment of Edward Bales as asset manager.
In his new role, Edward will form part of the team responsible for managing Orchard Street’s £1.1 bn retail portfolio, mainly comprising of dominant retail parks and warehouses, helping to implement business plans, manage tenants and drive income performance.
Edward joins the business from Cube Real Estate, where he worked as an investment and asset manager responsible for managing £100m of assets across a number of retail subsectors. Edward is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and also holds a post-graduate Surveying Diploma from the University of Reading.
