The Urban Land Institute (ULI) has announced the appointment of Søren Rodian Olsen, managing director of Logicenters at NREP as chair of ULI Poland. He succeeds Dorota Wysokińska-Kuzdra, senior partner at Colliers, and officially began his voluntary two-year term on 1 October 2021.
Søren Rodian Olsen’s appointment was announced during the National Council’s Annual Conference today. Dorota Wysokińska-Kuzdra, outgoing chair of ULI Poland, said: “I am delighted to welcome Søren as my successor and we can expect a very bright future for ULI Poland under his leadership. Since joining the ULI Poland Executive Committee in 2019, he has demonstrated great passion and energy which, combined with his wealth of industry experience and expertise, will drive growth and further the mission of ULI in our region.”

Stefan Süschetz has been appointed to the Management Board of Union Investment Real Estate Austria AG with effect from November 1, 2021.
As Chief Risk Officer and Chief Operating Officer, he will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the real estate fund company, which is based in Vienna. In his position, Süschetz will be responsible for Risk Management and MidOffice as well as the staff functions Legal, Compliance and Money Laundering.

Macy’s, Inc. announced the appointment of Ashley Buchanan, chief executive officer of The Michaels Companies (“Michaels”), and Tracey Zhen, president of Zipcar, to its board of directors, effective October 5, 2021.
As CEO of Michaels since early 2020, Buchanan has led the company through a significant transformation, including a reimagined omnichannel experience and strengthened store business that resulted in record growth, financial and operational performance. He previously served in various roles at Walmart, most recently as chief merchant for the U.S. eCommerce business where he introduced an omnichannel approach to the country’s largest employer.

The Board of Directors of Citycon Oyj has approved a new Restricted Share Plan 2021—2024 for the Citycon´s incoming CFO, Bret McLeod who will commence his appointment as CFO on 1 January 2022.
The aim of the new plan is to combine the objectives of the shareholders and the incoming CFO in order to increase the value of the company in the long-term, to retain the CFO at the company, and to offer him a competitive reward plan based on receiving and accumulating the company´s shares.

Herman will lead Ellandi’s Research & Analytics department, creating data driven insights on shopper behaviour and location trends, and overseeing all research supporting Ellandi’s strategic, investment, capital raising, and project decisions.
Prior to joining Ellandi, Herman worked as Head of Research at MARK Capital Management, known as Meyer Bergman until November 2020. He is a member of several UK and international property research communities including Society Property Researchers, ULI Urban Land Institute and RICS Royal Institute Chartered Surveyors.

Sara Wood has been appointed as a Board Counsellor for The Crown Estate with effect from 1 July 2021.
Sara has over 25 years’ experience creating and scaling industry-transforming technology products, and has worked with businesses across all growth stages.
Most recently, Sara has led Kaluza (an OVO company), an intelligent energy platform which helps to optimise power usage by using artificial intelligence. Prior to Kaluza, Sara was EVP at Farfetch, a global platform for luxury fashion, where she helped lead the company to a $9 billion IPO on the New York Stock Exchange. Before that, Sara was Vice President of Production Management at Gap Inc.

Ulrika Danielsson appointed as the new CFO of Atrium Ljungberg.
Ulrika Danielsson will become the new CFO in November, 2021. She joins the company from Castellum, where she was the Director of Economics and Finance.
Ulrika has extensive experience working in leadership positions in economics and finance in the property industry. She joins the company from Castellum, where she has been the Director of Economics since 1998 and the CFO for the past seven years. Ulrika has also been on the Board of Directors of several companies, including John Mattson Fastighets AB.
Ede Gulyás

Globe Trade Centre has promoted Ede Gulyás to the position of Country Head Deputy, as of August 1, GTC announced. In his role, Ede will be responsible for all GTC’s operations in Hungary.
His extensive experience in leasing and asset management, as well as in-depth knowledge of real estate, will help steer the company’s growth in the local market. GTC invested EUR 264 million in Hungary, in the first six months of 2021.
